Our History
In 2002, Dr. Fredric Cook established and volunteered his time to a Music Scholarship Fund (under the umbrella of "Park City Arts & Music Conservatory."
Since, music scholarship funds have supported students with weekly music lessons, instrument rentals, and special projects, including summer camps, apprenticeships in off-Broadway music festivals, three Carnegie Hall residencies/performances, and various collaborations with local choral groups and orchestras.
After a long recession, a widening of economic disparity in our society, and restructuring after the passing of Dr. Cook, who left an impressive scholarship legacy, our Board of Directors launched this web-based initiative to make music lessons accessible to all, and the joy of giving an easy process for our supporters.

"Thank you for your scholarship in support of my granddaughter, who was able to use funds to support her choral debut in Carnegie Hall with choristers from around the nation. Her training has filled her with confidence and given us the memory of a lifetime."
"Thanks for the Music Scholarship Fund to my student who's parents had run into hard times. Your continued support launched her into a full ride at a prestigious private college where she majored in music."

Our Future
The Music Scholarship Fund will increase it's reach to deserving music students around our nation. Why? Because music is proven to make you smarter, increase cognitive abilities, empower the ability to make specific positive choices in the creative process, encourage focus and discipline, and weave together cultures and compassion amongst humanity. Music is a language in and of itself, and is a bridge to increased harmony and compassionate communication in a diverse society.
